U.S. YAIZA 0 LANZAROTE 0
The hugely anticipated derby match ends goalless as both teams lose ground on the teams above following wins for the B teams of Las Palmas and Tenerife.
Whilst the match had plenty of passion it did lack in quality. Yaiza had the better of the first half whilst Lanzarote hugely improved during the second period.
Rojillos keeper Ruyman was forced into two good saves in the first whilst Yaiza keeper Nauzet kept out a long distance effort from captain Raúl, though did fumble the save.
Lanzarote had a good shout for a penalty turned down whilst Di Renzo was just off target after a quick turn and strike.
Club captain Ayoze Pérez injected a bit more bite after coming on from the bench on the hour mark. As stoppage time arrived it was Ayoze who went full blooded into a challenge and picked up his second yellow card and was sent off.
The two Lanzarote sides remain third and fourth but now trail UD Las Palmas B by two points and a further two points from league leaders CD Tenerife B who comfortably won away 0-2 and 0-3 respectively.
Next week Lanzarote are on the road again as they travel to Gran Canaria and face UD Teror who are one point clear of the relegation positions.
