DERBY DAY TOMORROW (Saturday 20th) at 5.30 pm in YAIZA

Lanzarote travel just over 20km to Yaiza tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 20th) for the derby match versus rivals U.S. Yaiza  at 5.30pm to complete the final match of the first round of games. Doors open at 4pm.

The teams are level on points and only goals scored separate Lanzarote in third to Yaiza in fourth. UD Las Palmas B are in second position but level on points with Lanzarote and Yaiza and all three teams trail league leaders CD Tenerife B by two points.

Yaiza have decided to raise the price of entry 40% which has angered many Lanzarote supporters. It seems Rojillo fans are annoyed by the lack of respect shown by their neighbours rather than the10 Euro price of the ticket. For this reason many of the Lanzarote faithful have said they will not be purchasing food or drink inside the stadium and will not be buying the customary raffle tickets.

No cans, glass bottles or metal objects will be allowed into the stadium though it does seem that water will be allowed without the cap. There will be plenty of security ensuring the safety of the general public.

I do feel that UD Lanzarote´s supporters will use this aggrievement that they have by solely giving an extra 20% effort on cheering on their side. The supporters club Trifulka will be there in force and all Lanzarote fans know that they will be in top voice from start to finish. Let’s give the Trifulka our support in a very loud yet dignified manner. May the best team win!!!

VIVA ZAROTE!!!
