LANZAROTE AWAY IN FUERTEVENTURA THIS SUNDAY 7th JAN
Happy New Year to you all. The Rojillos will begin 2024 away in Fuerteventura this Sunday 7th January at 4pm versus 9th placed side CD Herbania.
Lanzarote are the league leaders though there are three other teams that are separated from that top position by just a single point and all of those teams will play before Lanzarote this Sunday.
CD Herbania have had a mixed season but have only been beaten at home once in this campaign and are six points from a playoff spot. In their last match before the Christmas break they earned a super away draw against high flyers CD Tenerife B.
Unfortunately the club are not organising an excursion to this match but many people are going, some for the weekend and others just for the day. For two residents return with a car it costs 38 Euros however non residents do have to pay much more. The Armas ferry leaves at 1pm and one could return on the 8pm (there are plenty of other times available). The number 6 bus from Corralejo leaves regularly for Puerto Del Rosario and the stadium is a short distance from the bus station.
CD Herbania share their ground “Los Pozos” in Puerto Del Rosario with CD Unión Puerto and if you are after a day of football you could watch their match which kicks off prior to the Rojillos match at 12 noon versus Arucas CF and have that as an appetiser before the main event at 4pm.
