TWO MORE SIGNINGS AND GENERAL INFO
The Rojillos have added two young Argentinean players, both on a two year contract and both players importantly have Spanish and Argentinean nationality.
21 year old León Gómez began as a youngster with Boca Juniors but the right sided midfielder moved to rivals River Player in 2019 where he had been playing for the B team.
Left back Justo Rodríguez has arrived from Argentinean giants Club Atlético Independiente where the 20 year old had been playing for their B side. I am sure every Rojillo fan will welcome the arrival of the two youngsters. The club has now 17 players signed on.
The Spanish Football Federation have increased the league with two extra teams which means next season the league will consist of 18 sides and the league will commence on September 10th. As normal the Federation take an age on releasing the fixtures but they should be released within the next 7-10 days and I will post on Facebook Lanzarote football club and website www.lanzarotefootball.com.
Training will commence on Monday 24th July and only a few days later the club will be involved in their first tournament of the campaign which will be held at the stadium in Puerto Del Carmen. The four teams involved are: CF PDC La Tiñosa, UD Lanzarote, CD Tenerife B and CF San Bartolomé.
Thursday 27th July at 8.30pm CF PDC La Tiñosa v UD Lanzarote
Friday 28th July at 8.30pm CD Tenerife B v CF San Bartolomé
Saturday 29th July at 6pm 3rd v 4th
Saturday 29th July at 8.30pm Gran Final
There will be other tournaments but as yet dates are unavailable but will be posted as soon as information becomes available. A date has yet to be set for the annual beach training day where youngsters can train alongside our first team players.
The prices of season tickets are being discussed and are likely to increase in price slightly especially as there will be two extra home games. We are expecting to have the season tickets on sale before the end of July.
The merchandise shop in Costa Teguise is open all throughout the summer with its regular opening hours of Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm and also Wednesdays at 5pm to 7pm. The shop is situated at CC Nautical, Local 25. It’s up from Decades Bar and behind Café Bonjour which is soon to be renamed to Oppa Bar.
