LANZAROTE AT HOME THIS SUNDAY 2nd APRIL AT 11.45AM

The Rojillos will be looking to consolidate their playoff status this Sunday 2nd April at the slightly earlier time of 11.45am against UD Ibarra. Pay on the gate. Adults 8 Euros, Pensioners 6 Euros, Children under 16 years are admitted free of charge. (2 Euros discount for residents).

The Tenerife side are fighting for their lives to stay in the Tercera Division and are currently third from bottom in the final relegation position and five points from safety. They also have a worse head to head record against relegation rivals U.S. Yaiza so they need to claw back six points to avoid the drop.

Rojillos manager Mateo García will be fully aware of UD Ibarra´s fighting spirit. Before last week’s matches the Tenerife side had taken four points out of a possible six and were just two points adrift from U.S Yaiza. Last Saturday they faced league leaders CD Mensajero and twice came from behind to level only to be beaten 3-2 in the final minute.

Lanzarote has been in fantastic form over their last seven matches winning four with three draws and this has propelled them into their best position this season of fourth spot and into the playoff zone.

The players and management have urged supporters to turn up and get behind the team in what is likely to be a terrific atmosphere.

Doors open at 10.45am.

The match can be streamed live for 5.90 Euros on udlanzarote.webdirecto.com

A minute silence will be observed before kick off in honour of the passing of former UD Lanzarote player Bernardo Hernández Pérez known as “Nardo”. During the early 90´s Nardo played for the Rojillos and was also an integral part of the UD Lanzarote veterans. R.I.P.
