AWAY IN FUERTEVENTURA TOMORROW (Wednesday 23rd) at 4pm
The Rojillos travel to Fuerteventura tomorrow on the Armas ferry to play a fixture against CD Unión Puerto that was originally planned for the 9th January but was suspended due to a Covid outbreak among the players.
The Fuerteventura side had been in great form and on the 9th February they beat one of the strongest teams in the league CD Atlético Paso away 1-2 however, since then they have gone five games without a win and only picked up two points and have dropped to 10th spot.
Lanzarote have fared better over the last five games with eight points and are in 8th position but are still five points away from the playoff positions though they do have a game in hand. Unión Puerto trail Lanzarote by two points and have played the same amount of matches so a win is vital for them if they are to challenge for that 5th spot.
Unfortunately the club have not organised a trip over to the match though many people are going. If you are a resident the ferry costs about 7 Euros each way and entrance to the match is either 5 or 6 Euros. The ferries travel all day but probably the best times to catch it would be the 1pm and return at 8pm.
On Sunday 27th March at 12 noon Lanzarote are home against second placed side Arucas CF.
