FIRST MATCH OF THE SEASON THIS SUNDAY 5th SEPTEMBER AT NOON
UD Lanzarote will kick off their season with a home match this Sunday 5th Sep at 12 noon versus Fuerteventura side CD Unión Puerto.
The good news is that there will be tickets available to buy at the gate on match day but you must have ID and only cash is accepted (vaccination certificate is not needed). Adults 8 Euros, (Residents and Socios 6 Euros), Pensioners and 4-16 years 6 Euros, (Residents and Socios 4 Euros) Children under 4 years are admitted free but must sit with parent or guardian. Only just over 400 fans will be allowed entrance but with many locals still on their holidays I feel certain that there should be no problem getting a ticket on the day. Be there one hour before kick off.
Those of you wishing to get your season ticket go to the club in Calle Isleño 4 in Arrecife Monday to Friday 9am to 12 noon and also on Friday evening 6pm-8pm. You cannot buy a season ticket on the day of the match. I will be at the club on Thursday morning from 9am to noon to help if needed.
Adult Season Tickets remain great value at only 60 Euros; if you add 15 Euros you will also be a Socio (member) of the club. Pensioners and 4-16 year olds season ticket is 30 Euros and an extra 10 Euros for membership. Gold Cards which include all games, membership and playoffs if applicable are 120 Euros. Cash only please. You need ID, full name, phone number. If you are purchasing season tickets for others make sure you have this and you will also need to choose where to sit. You don’t need a photo.
Last season the club had a disastrous start but this was mainly down to not having a pre season. This year it has gone well and the lads are ready.
The club are desperate to see the return of their fans however the club is under obligation to obey the measures that have been put in place by the authorities. These restrictions include the wearing of face masks as in all public events on the islands, no drinking other than water (bring bottle of water as food van is not open), distancing to the next person by three seats (even if it is a family member. This is because we don’t have the computer program to separate families as in cinemas etc).
Whilst it’s great to be back, the club would prefer it if none of these restrictions were in place. We do feel that they will ease soon but for now we must respect them if you want to watch the match. If you don’t feel that you could enjoy the game because of this then it is better if you don’t come for now. We don’t need anyone with negative comments as we all know those comments. If you wish to complain then please contact the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. The season is about to start so let’s get positive now and SUPPORT The Rojillos!
