TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SUNDAYS MATCH

Around 150 tickets have been sold for Sunday’s match which leaves close on 300 remaining. If you want a ticket you will get one. Just go to the club tomorrow (Friday 16th) between 8am to 12 noon but please be patient. David Timmons will be there to help you.

There are plenty of reasons why so few have been sold and that main reason is the short time frame that the club has had to sell them. The club is just not prepared for what the island government is asking them, seat numbers, identification etc and all this has taken time. Davinia in the office has worked tirelessly but has not had the time to sell more than the current 150.

On top of that there will be less people because of no tourists, unable to bring children because of rules by the authorities that everyone has to sit three seats apart. There are countless problems but they will all eventually be overcome. Today was the first day the tickets were on sale to the public. Many people went early and understandably decided not to queue. The club can only apologise to everyone but this was a likely scenario that the club could do nothing about.

We can go on and on about this but that can be done another day. The club has plenty of tickets remaining and the office doors will be open at 8am and will close shortly after 12 noon. You may have to wait a little but David and Davinia will work as fast as possible. If there are two of you, one queue and one go for a coffee and a bocadillo at the Sports Bar. Tomorrow it will be much easier as it is the second day and there is much more time to sell them.

Sundays match is our chance for our fans to see our team for the first time in 13 and a half months. As many of you will know our own authorities have made it extremely difficult for our side this year and this applies now even for our fans.

Our squad has done superbly digging themselves out of this situation so now is our chance to be there and support them on this final hurdle. If we win Sunday we are out of the relegation playoffs and we will be in the promotion playoffs. Surely that is a worthy reason to pop into Arrecife and buy a 10 Euro ticket.

You need to take your Nie number and passport or driving licence (also for match day), the only other thing you have to do is sign a declaration that you have not been in contact with anyone with Covid etc, as well as match day rules, no drinking, eating at the stadium and to wear a mask amid other minor rules.

The club would have loved to have been able to sell these tickets at the shop in Costa Teguise and with David Timmons in Puerto Del Carmen and perhaps with John or Kenny in Playa Blanca but this was not an option that we had. Hopefully it will be soon. Go and get your tickets and I will see you all Sunday.
