AWAY MATCH SUNDAY, ELECTIONS AND UPDATE ABOUT VENUE OF HOME GAMES,  25th January 2020, 

This Sunday 26th January Lanzarote travel to the island of La Palma to face third placed side CD Atlético Paso at 12.30 kick off.

Quite a few Rojillo fans have made the necessary two flight journey to reach the island. The two sides met early in the season and the match ended 1-1. The La Palma side went from strength to strength after this encounter going 14 games unbeaten whilst Lanzarote have struggled to find a win.

The match has a little more taste to it than normal as Atlético Paso not only have the Rojillos manager from last season Maxi Barrera but they also enticed four of our players Alex Yunes, Javi Morales, Alex Cruz and the very likeable Fran Gil to join their ranks in their newly promoted side.

ELECTION.

The last date for anybody to present themselves for Club President is on Tuesday 28th January. Should anyone do so then the election will take place two days later at the club on Thursday 30th January between 5-8pm. Only Socios (Members) of the club are allowed to vote.

IS HOME AT ARRECIFE OR TIAS?

This has been ongoing for some time now. The club wish to move from their current ground in Arrecife due to the poor surface of the pitch. It looked as though a move to Tias was on but unfortunately during the days and times the Rojillos want to play the ground is already occupied. There was also some debate on who would receive the income taken at the bar.

Arrecife looks like it will continue to be Lanzarote´s home but always check to avoid disappointment.

Whilst no decision has yet to be taken it does look increasingly likely that for at least for the next two games on 02/02 versus CD Unión Puerto and the 16/02 versus UD Tamaraceite that these will be played in Arrecife. My advice as always is to check on Facebook Lanzarote football club or website www.lanzarotefootball.com for confirmation of match details a couple of days before the game.
