ANNUAL BEACH TRAINING SESSION AND PHOTO SHOOT, PRE SEASON TOURNAMENTS AND SEASON TICKETS UPDATE, 28th July 2018,
The 5th annual beach training session and photo shoot will take place this Wednesday 1st August at 7pm beginning at Sands Beach complex in Costa Teguise. The management of Sands Beach every home match kindly give our squad and backroom staff breakfast and a place for a team talk so the evening will commence with photos of the squad and the management of the complex.
After photos outside the resort the squad will head down the road to Las Cucharas beach around 7.30-8pm approx where the players will happily pose for photos with any fans and if any youngsters wish to train alongside the squad they will as always be welcome.
The Spanish Football Federation has not yet completed the fixture list but it is due to be published early August. Apologies to the many people who have asked but unfortunately it always is late.
Lanzarote´s pre season began on the 23rd July and the first league match is due to be played on the weekend of 25/26th August but whether it is home or away will only be known once the fixture list has been released.
The first pre season friendly match will be against CF Haría on Friday 3rd August in Haría with kick off at 8pm.
The following day Saturday 4th August at 8pm Lanzarote will face Segunda B (third tier) side Las Palmas B in a one match San Ginés tournament match.
The annual Tinajo four team tournament will take place from Thursday 9th Friday 10th with the third and fourth place final and Gran Final on Saturday 11th August with CD Cotillo, CD Tinajo, UD Lanzarote and US Yaiza all competing for the Juan Morales Cáceres trophy. All games will be played at the stadium in Tinajo and remember to bring a warm top as it can be nippy up there even in the height of summer. The draw for the tournament will take place soon so I will post times and fixtures as soon as I know.
A week later another four team tournament will take place at the stadium in Puerto Del Carmen on Thursday 16th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th August. Again as soon as I know fixtures and times I will post.
Season tickets should be available this Monday from the club but before you make your way there confirm with me that they have arrived. I should have them for sale along with merchandise at the Sunday Teguise market on the 5th August and every Sunday onwards, they are the same bargain price as last season; Adults 50 Euros, Pensioners 25 Euros with children 18 years and under for free.
Unfortunately the Puerto Del Carmen Friday market in the Old Town has been suspended because of the fiestas but will resume on Friday 17th August and season tickets as well as merchandise will be available from me then onward.
