Late on Saturday afternoon the Rojillos earned their second draw of the season in the same amount of games in a goalless intense match away in Gran Canaria.
Lanzarote dominated the early stages of the encounter though it was the home side that created the best opportunity. Defender Leandro struck central from outside the box forcing Lanzarote´s keeper Agoney into a good save.
With all the possession the Rojillos were enjoying they could still not find that creativity to produce an opportunity at goal. It was the hosts who again came close in the 25th minute, a cross by Juanma found striker Anchor on his own in the penalty area with just the Lanzarote keeper to beat; fortunately for Adolfo Pérez´s men he shot wide.
Early in the second half a free kick for Estrella taken by defender Fran came crashing off the crossbar but Lanzarote responded well with Rosmen unlucky to see his goal bound effort blocked in a desperate last ditch tackle.
The home side struck the crossbar once more from sub Fede in the 75th minute with a strike from the edge of the box as the Rojillos ended the game on the back foot and grateful for the away point.
With just two games played the Rojillos have two points and sit just below mid table whilst Estrella are in fifth spot.
Las Palmas B just as their first team are in the Primera Division are the early league leaders.
Next week Lanzarote are at home on Sunday at 2pm versus SD Tenisca. Lanzarote have been asked by the La Palma side to play at this time to help accommodate flights for their side.
