This last weekend UD Lanzarote visited the currently on form CD Tenerife B. This game was therefore not going to be taken lightly and The Rojllos (the reds) knew that it was going to take everything to get something from this game.
Both teams created chances in the first half with the home side taking the lead on 39min. The clearest chance for UD Lanzarote to equalize came shortly after. The referee awarding a penalty following an offence committed by Josua.The Reds experienced Captain Jotha stood up to take the shot and sadly for us the Goalkeeper Carlos read the direction correctly and with the aid of the post was able to deflect the ball. At the end of the first half the game remained 1-0.
The second half saw much of the same game play with both sides having chances but neither side finding the back of the net. The final score remained at 1-0. This leaves CD Tenerife B in 3rd position on 23 points and UD Lanzarote at 6th place with 17 points.
UD Lanzarote’s next outing is the weekend of the 9th /10th November. Where they will play host to League Leaders Club Atletico Granadilla. The date/time/ venue have still to be confirmed so please check this site and Face book Lanzarote Football Club.
